About the scheme
Our Progression Partnership scheme promotes the recruitment of talented, creative students from high quality further education institutions to UAL courses.
Working closely with colleagues in our partner institutions, we provide enhanced pre-application support, exclusive events and opportunities to share best-practice and collaborate.
Our primary objective is to promote progression within the arts, supporting the next generation of students to succeed.
The Progression Partnership allows learners from Blackburn to engage with UAL at an early stage of the UCAS process. This contact and feedback supports aspirational applications, encouraging learners to consider a broad range of exciting courses in the capital.

What do we offer through the Progression Partnership scheme?
If your students are passionate about a specific subject area, a specialist lecturer can visit your institution or deliver a workshop at UAL to provide information and guidance on the content of relevant courses at UAL, how to prepare a portfolio, and provide information about career opportunities in their field.
We visit schools and colleges around the UK to deliver presentations to both students and academic staff covering topics such as:
- Selecting a university
- Application process at UAL
- The UAL structure
- Our courses
- University life
Staff and students from our partner colleges are invited into UAL to increase their knowledge about UAL and the different subject pathways.
Each year we hold events such as:
- Tutor information days
- Degree show tours
- Subject information sessions
- Student visits to see the college sites, meet our students and find out more about our range of courses
